Assistant Professor, Extension Specialist, Wheat and Forage Pathologist

The successful candidate will be expected to lead an interdisciplinary team to develop an innovative, nationally recognized extension education and applied research program primarily in winter wheat, but also including other small grain and forage crops. The extension education program should be supportive of county agents and address the needs of Kansas growers, agricultural industry, trade associations, and commodity groups. The successful candidate is expected to seek external funds to establish an applied research program relevant to stakeholder needs for diseases of wheat and forage crops affecting Kansas and the Great Plains region that complements the extension program.
