Postdoctoral Associate Plant Pathology and Plant-Microbe Biology Section, Cornell University

A postdoctoral position in the Martin lab is available to conduct research on the interaction of tomato with the bacterial pathogen Pseudomonas syringae to investigate molecular mechanisms involved in plant immunity. The position will focus on the characterization of natural variation in the immune response in tomato and will use multiple experimental approaches to identify and characterize the genes responsible (mapping-by-sequencing, CRISPR/Cas9, protein biochemistry).
