Postdoctoral Scholar PennState

The Esker Laboratory in the Department of Plant Pathology and Environmental Microbiology at The Pennsylvania State University is looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar who will focus on the development of a disease management risk assessment tool for corn that focuses on large-scale field data collection, modeling, and validation of production practices and management packages using deep learning methods. The candidate requires a very strong background in computational and statistical methods and should also possess a similarly strong background in plant disease ecology and epidemiology. Proficiency with programming languages like R or Python is important.
