Postdoctoral Scholar/Project Manager PennState

The Department of Plant Pathology and Environmental Microbiology is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar/Project Manager to perform a primary role in research and manage projects investigating the epidemiology, ecology, and management of seedborne bacterial diseases caused by Pseudomonas syringae. Specific projects may include developing sequence-based markers and diagnostic metagenomics for detection and quantification of the pathogens and seed testing, identification of primary inoculum sources and population dynamics, localization of the pathogen in the seed, development of novel biologicals and seed treatments. Research will also investigate the host range and threshold populations of the pathogens.
