Postdoctoral Scientist, Seed Potato Pathology Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
The Seed Potato Pathology Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Scientist. The individual hired for this position will conduct research in the general area of diseases that impact seed potato production and the ways in which they are influenced by the potato microbiome. Relevant diseases include: Potato virus Y, potato mop-top virus and its vector, the powdery scab pathogen Spongospora subterranea f. sp. subterranea, and black leg/soft rot diseased caused by bacterial pathogens in the genera Pectobacterium and Dickeya. Researchers with interest or experience in phytobiomes and any of these diseases are encouraged to apply.
