Team Manager, Assurance, Biosafety and Containment, Auckland Landcare Research
The applicant would be accountable for biosafety and the quality management system and risk management framework of PHEL. Diagnostic testing at the PHEL involves work with high risk and exotic organisms carried out in containment (Physical Containment Level 1- Physical Containment Level 3) laboratories, and Level 3B post entry quarantine glasshouses and level 3 tissue culture facility. The role is responsible for the effective management and development of key laboratory systems including containment, biosafety, specimen reception, health and safety and wellbeing, quality assurance, procurement, equipment management, Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Plant Pest Information Network (PPIN).
