Tenure Track Assistant Professor Plant Virology (Van Rijn funds), WUR
You will be given the opportunity to establish your own plant virus research group and to this end benefit from available expertise and research facilities at the Laboratory of Virology and the Department of Plant Sciences, e.g. Fluorescence Light- and Electron Microscopy, Next Generation Sequencing, Proteomics, Greenhouse & conditioned (virus quarantine) climate chambers etc.. The presence, nearby, of the Laboratory of Entomology with expertise in various insects that serve as vectors for viruses offers opportunities to set-up rewarding collaborations in virus-vector interactions. About 40% of your time you will be teaching BSc/MSc students from different programs and at different levels, involving lecturing, practical courses and case studies.
