Plant Health Undergraduate Summer Studentships 2019

Applications are now open for funding nine undergraduate studentships in plant health.

Researchers, with the backing of their institution, who can offer research expertise and a high quality research experience for a student, can now apply for funding for one of nine undergraduate studentships.

Funding is provided by Defra (4 studentships), BSPP (3 studentships), N8 AgriFood (1 studentship), and the David Colegrave Foundation (1 studentship).

The proposed research project must address at least one of the following themes related to plant health, pests and diseases:

  • Detection or control
  • Data & modelling
  • Trade
  • Host plants / Earth observations
  • High-risk pests or pathogens
  • Knowledge exchange
  • Oak health
