IJPB Symposium 2026 - Chemical interactions between plants and their environment: from the molecule to the field

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 08:53

Registration for the IJPB Symposium 2026 is now open.

The 3rd International Symposium organized by the Institute Jean-Pierre Bourgin for Plant Sciences is scheduled from 23 to 25 September 2026 in Versailles, France, and will focus on chemical interactions between plants and their environment - from the molecule to the field.

We are especially excited to have eminent invited speakers open the conference programme and lead each of the four sessions:

- Chemical signals involved in plant response to their environment
- Perception and transduction of chemical signals
- Integration of chemical interactions in ecological communities and agroecosystems
- Agroecological innovations derived from studies of plant-environment interactions

A new feature has been introduced in this edition of the IJPB Symposium: four early-career postdocs will be selected to give a talk (one in each session) and meet with IJPB researchers. Their hotel costs (for up to 3 nights) and registration fees, including the gala dinner, will be reimbursed.

Full details regarding registration, abstract submission, early-career talk applications, the scientific programme, invited speakers, travel and accommodation, as well as partners and sponsors, are available on the event website.

Participants can benefit from early-bird rates until 15 May 2026.

Please spread the word and share this announcement with your network.

We look forward to welcoming you to Versailles!
